Description of Château Trotte Vielle, 1er Grand Cru Classé AOC Saint-Emilion
A parchment dating from 1453 testifies the use of the name for the estate and the existence of a vineyard. A plot of the vines dates back to the time before Phylloxera and is thus more than 120 years old. Trotte Vieille’s wine is dark, fruity, structured, full-bodied, and harmonious often with black berries, coffee, chocolate. Two stars by Guide Hachette 2004 for the vintage 2002, two stars by Guide Hachette 2005 for the vintage 2002.
